Welcome to the last newsletter of the year.
2025 has been a wild one. Full, busy, exhausting, rewarding—and yes, I’m overwhelmed and deeply grateful.

Before we dive in, I’ll introduce myself like I always do. My name is Connor McCauley. I’m the writer here. The voice. The storyteller. But make no mistake—I’m just one small part of this operation. Nearly everyone involved in this ranch is family. I’m simply here to invite you in, to show you what life looks like on a Texas ranch that’s been worked for five generations—and now a sixth, with little Weston growing up in the middle of it all.
Let me be blunt about the purpose of these newsletters.
They exist to inspire you—plain and simple. To remind you that building a legacy matters. Whether that legacy is your family, your business, your marriage, or the life you’re putting together day by day. We believe that legacy is built with hard work, responsibility, and shared meals around the table. Really good meals. Really good beef. The kind of dinner that brings family closer, invites conversation, and reminds people why gathering still matters.
That’s what we’re about. Legacy.

This newsletter is really an introduction to something special, and I’ve linked it below: our Top 5 Ranch Moments of 2025 on YouTube.
This was our first full year on YouTube, and I want you to know—it’s become an important part of what we do. Now, if you’re thinking, “I’m not a YouTube person,” that’s fair. No pressure. You’re entitled to feel that way.
But here’s the honest truth: YouTube is a storytelling machine. And we don’t want to be a faceless cut of beef that shows up in a box. We want you to know where your food comes from. We want you to see the people behind it. The work. The mistakes. The laughs. The long days. The hard lessons. The wins.
These videos let you meet the ranchers selling you your beef. You get to see why we know what a good steak looks like. Why we care. Why this matters to us.
So if you’re willing—even just this once—I’d invite you to watch the video. Maybe even subscribe. Watching, liking, sharing… it may seem small, but it helps more than you know. It’s organic. It’s honest. And it helps our stories reach people who still value where their food comes from.
Now, enough about YouTube.
You are the heroes of this ranch.
And I don’t say that lightly.
TriTails Beef has, in many ways, helped save this ranch. It’s given it depth, purpose, and stability in a world where owning land and ranching alone rarely pays the bills anymore. Most ranchers have to build something alongside it just to survive.
Because of you, this ranch isn’t just surviving—it’s growing.
Your support has turned TriTails into a real asset for our family, and it’s introduced us to people we never would have met otherwise. And I’m not saying this out of habit or obligation—we truly have the best customers in the world.
When you call, you talk to the same person every time: Helen. She’s our only phone operator. And the stories she tells about you—your kindness, your patience, your loyalty—honestly knock our socks off.
This has been the best end-of-year we’ve ever had. Orders are up. Packing days are full. We’ve even had cowboys stepping in to help pack boxes just to keep up. It’s a good problem to have—and one we don’t take for granted.
Thank you. Truly.
I’ve linked the YouTube video below. Give it a watch if you’d like.
We’ve got big plans for 2026, and we’re just getting started. Until then—keep eating beef, keep building your legacy, and we’ll see you next year.
—Connor
